An Appetite for Apple

For all the Apple fans -- are you up to date with Apple's newest offerings for 2013?

According to Fortune magazine, you can expect these 5 new products from Apple this year:

  • Apple Radio (March 20313):  Move over Pandora -- Apple will be offering a free streaming radio service (linked to iTunes) - making a profit mostly from ad revenue.  Sadly, Pandora stock fell 12% the day following the announcement of Apple Radio's launch.  Look out!
  • iPad Mini with Retina Display (March 2013):  Apple sold more than 3 million iPads with retina display over a single weekend in March, and between 8-10 million iPad mini devices are reported to have shipped by the end of 2012, according to Digitimes.  The retina display offers crystal-clear images.  No fuzzy, pixelated photos (even if they're taken by the kids!)
  • iOS7 (June 2013):  Apple has a bit to prove with this upgrade version.  After giving YouTube and Google Maps apps the boot - it's expected to meet some dissapointed users' expectations with the new apps it will offer.
  • iPhone 5S (June 2013):  The Newer iPhone will be the same size, same width - but with a better camera (of course) and better battery life.  This time around, it's not about the outside, but the inside that counts.
  • Apple Television (November 2013):  They're not talking about an Apple digital receiver box (which already exists) - they're talking about an actual Apple television.   Munster and Clinton predict an Apple TV will measure 42" to 55" and cost between $1500 and $2000.

What do you think?  Exciting new advancements - or nothing too special?

A better question would be -- what are we going to do with this evolving technology?  Over here - we're hoping people will take advantage of learning materials that can be accessed on mobile devices.  Apple or no apple - we think the future holds some exciting new turns for training.
